For the specifications of the users interface please see :
The specifications of the Self Service Stacking Station are :
            - Maximal width : 400 mm
            - Maximal height : 600 mm
            - Maximal stackheight : 180 mm
            - Speed : 1200 items per hour ( real speed depends on the customers )
            - Power supply : Depends on the number of stations
            - Connection : SIP 2.00
The SSSS can be connected to the Sorting installation via the
buffer zone. But the SSSS will remain a separate unit, this
means that what ever happends, the processing of items will
continue.
After the transaction with the library system, the whole stack is
returned to the customer if they have chosen the extend option
or transported further into the machine if the return option was
chosen. At which point the stack enters the buffer zone.
Meanwhile the SSSS is allready identifying and processing the
next stack of items.
The items are brought out of reach from the customer to exclude
influence from outside, here the items are identified and checked for
attachments. The software of the SSSS is capable of useing both the
Object identifier and the Library identifier, as is described in the Generic
set of requirements.
The first link of automation in a library begins with self service. A clear
interface between customer and machine, and behind that, the last
technology on the area of RFID. Our Self Service Stacking Station
( SSSS ) can, next to single items, also process stacks of items. With
the use of a long range reader with a dubble antenna the SSSS can
process stacks up to 18 centimeters high.
